Plug missing on injection pump
Decided to do a few mods, moved torque plate forward, and started to add a boost gauge. While removing the 1/8" npt plug on the manifold, I noticed a problem with the injection pump.
On the side of the injection pump that faces the manifold, towards the rear of the pump, I found a threaded hole with no plug in it. It looks like a plug was there at one time. But it also looks like it has been off for awhile. What is the hole for? Is it just normally plugged (like a test port or something)?. what potential problems can this cause?
Nothing has leaked out of it, and the engine does not run any different with it plugged back up. I used the 1/8" plug that I removed from the manifold in the hole I found on the injection pump. Thanks, Kevin
