Pedal assembly rod clips
Hey guys, new to this forum and first post. If I missed a check-in thread point me in the right directions.
Anyways, the clip on the right side of the rod that holds the brake and clutch pedal keeps popping off. I'm going to get a new clip to see if its just worn out but I have a feeling it won't help.
Anyone experienced this? It sucks driving in traffic because the constant use of clutch causes it to pop, then I have to pull over to put it back on. Also, it's just dangerous. If it popped and I had to hit the brakes in an emergency situation I'm screwed. Plus if I don't catch that the clip popped off before the rod slides to the left, it messes with the brake light switch and I have to adjust it so my lights work properly.
Thanks for any help.

I have been fighting the same issue, and feel your pain completely. I have a small diameter of bailing wire keeping mine in place now. Home Depot / TSC should have the clip if you want one just take the old one in.

Bailing wire sounds like a good idea. I was going to look and see if there's enough material extending beyond the clip location to drill a hole and use a cotter pin as a safety.
I'll just start with a new clip an safety wire it on there and see how that goes.
