P7100

Does anyone have a list of P7100 part numbers and which CPL they were used in? I have a 1998 12-V that has a Cummins 230hp upgrade pump on it. I need to identify the pump in order to time it.
thanks

Take the 10 digit Bosch number and call a Bosch shop, they should tell you. A 230 pump will most likely have a different LPC than the dodge pumps.

My 230 hp was timed at 12.5 degrees stock.

Tate, I plan to buy a mirror and try to read the pump number, it is well hidden. If not I will have the shop read it while they do the KDP fix.
Skip, do you happen to know what plunger lift gives 12.5 degrees on your CPL1553 engine? The shop checked mine and said it was at 16 degrees, but they were using CPL 2175 data (original data plate). It seems that Cummins NW did not change the data plate when they put the 230hp upgrade in.
thanks

Unbolt the linkage to the pump. Its 3 bolts with 10mm heads. Post that number here. If it's an aftermarket 'upgrade' to 230hp, its probably a different plate and gov springs in a 160/175 pump. If its a true 230hp pump, then its a different matter.

According to the chart, it is 5.7 on my "true" 230 HP 1553 CPL.

Did you check the 10 digit bosch number yet? That plunger lift is the same as the 160/175 pumps.

OK, here is what the shop found when they removed the linkage plate.
Serial # 3272201 Model # M03209803B-L. They have no idea what pump it is. They suggested I call Cummins and ask them.......can anyone shed some light on this?

Be easier to find a shop with a timing light and check it that way.
