P-Pump question, big truck pumps??
Another question guys, ive about got every thing for this project exect the engine. Destroked parts coming, glide being built exc... but on the engine im finding more truck application p-pumps engines than dodge truck engines. 190,230,250,and 275 hp motors. Q's is is this also a good route to take, can the pumps all be turned up the same, because i know the 215 from 96-98 is the most desirable from dodge. What would be diff. say on a 230 or 250 hp engine? And if i later decided to buy a aftermarket pump like the gragon flow would one of these other pumps be acceptable as a core?? Thanks

Looking at the Dragon Flows, you better talk to II about what they accept as a core. They only wanted 180/215 pumps as cores for the Dragon Fly when I was talking to them.

I hear ya, not going that way right off anyway but trying to look ahead. I will gather all the components and build the first one my self and see if im compeditive enough. If not i could be looking into a aftermarket built pump later down the line. Just not sure the diff. in these other pumps if any. Poss. i guess that its just tuned a bit more for factory or little diff. curve on the plate? Just dont ever hear people running a other than dodge version of the cummins in thier trucks, but theres prob. a reason for that: they dont often need replacment!! Im just running in to more of these than any thing else right now.
