P-Pump Question???

Well I splurged and got the stage 2 injectors from Pensacola Injection.
I am pleased with them although not Bosch they seem to be a quality injector for the $$$. Put them in and immediatly noticed lower EGT by about 100*-150* and the stock turbo spools much quicker. I have a feeling i will be sliding the fuel plate all the way forward.
Now I do have to fix the wastegate (its stuck) cause it will run the boost gauge past the rivet on the face, its only a 35lb gauge. IMHO if you are looking for an inexpensive upgrade they are worth it.

Yes well pleased with these injectors. They even came with the copper sealing washers for the injectors and the return line washers.
I have not checked the mileage with the new injectors, mainly because i have been riding my motorcycle to and from work.
IMHO these are good injectors for the $$$.

We put those inj in a 96 auto and it would run fine if you stomped it, but if you tried to drive at a steady rpm of 1050-1100 it would surge and buck. This was especially bad in reverse. That was the range it was allways in when trying to back trailers and stuff. Swaped in bosch 300's worked perfectly. Truck even felt better driving. We also installed their stage one pump. For 750 dollars, you are getting a used pump with only the stuff that was wrng fixed. Plungers and barrels are about 1200 for the set so you know they are not replacing the heart of the pump. So they are not rebuilding the pumps, injectors are not bosch units, why would you give money to a company that wont use parts from the people who designed the injection system? You can buy bosch 300's for 365$. This is obviously just my opinion. Tim

A full rebuild and balance on a pump will run about $1,000 to $2000 depending on how many of the expensive parts should be replaced.
What injectors are they using if not Bosch?

Fueling around, From what they told me they dont know. Phillip told me that they just buy them from Germany or somewhere and resale them. My diesel shop took a injector apart and they were only 4 hole injectors, i dont remember what hole size, and absolutly no numbers stamped anywhere for identification. I read this statement alot. "good bang for the buck" A little gain, bad running truck, cheap price, sounds like a good deal to me. LOL Tim
