I started out with a TST adaptor and didn't trust it to hold up one bit, the bolt diameter is just too small. Perhaps this is the reason TST says NOT FOR PERMANENT HOOK-UP
Also the bleeder screw was gone, something I use with every filter change.
I only use the adaptor for checking pressure on rigs that don't have a FP gauge now.
The gauge pulsations indicate the snubber isn't doing it's job. replace it or use it in addition to an almost totally closed needle valve.
Your 35 psi gauge is cutting it pretty close, I often see more than 35 going downhill when fuel usage is low. 60 psi is best. Cheap high quality gauges here http://www.surpluscenter.com/sort.as...s&keyword=NFGA
Although they might not say fuel on the gauge any water, oil or air pressure gauge will work just fine.
