oil light
I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY YESTERDAY AT 80 MPH WITH NO LOAD AND WITH THE AIR ON BECAUSE IT WAS ABOUT 90 DEGREES. WHEN I GOT OFF THE HIGHWAY AND SAT AT THE LIGHT THE OIL LIGHT STARTED TO COME ON. IT DID NOT STAY ON THE WHOLE TIME IT CAME ON THEN WENT OFF THEN CAME ON AND OFF UNTIL I STARTED TO EXCELLERATE AND IT WENT OFF. THE LIGHT DID NOT COME ON FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING EVEN WHILE I WAS STOPPED OR AT A IDLE. THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE READ WHAT IT ALWAYS READS WHICH IS ABOUT RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE WHICH IS FORTY. I CHECKED THE OIL THIS MORNING AND THE OIL LEVEL IS PERFECT. DOES ANYONE NO WHY THIS HAPPENED?

It mite be a oil pressure sensor but if your gage reads ok pressure you should be ok......you don't say which model year your truck is but if its a 98 theres a TSB about this problem
