Question Oil leaking from near fuel filter??

I am trying to fix all the oil leaks on my truck. So far I have replaced the valve cover gaskets, replaced the injector seals and put a bottle on the blowby tube. The volume is much reduced but it still will drip even after sitting overnight.

I have one minor leak (red fluid - tranny) that seems to be coming between the tranny and OD unit. Can this be disassembeled and is there a gasket in there somewhere that might need to be replaced?? If so how hard is it to do.

The worst leak comes from somewhere behind the fuel filter/pump/water seperator area. The oil runs down the entire block in that area and collects on the lip of the oil pan. It kind of looks like the oil is coming from where the pump bolts to the block but a little higher. Any ideas where this might be coming from. I pressure washed the whole area but I cannot see a source of the oil. There are some bolts on the block that are covered with oil but I cannot get to them to check for tightness till I get a new universal for my rachet. Any ideas on where the leak is coming from and how to fix it. I'm pretty sure it's oil - if it's fuel it would eat the driveway right??

One other thing, while I was poking around under the truck a small bracket of some kind fell down and hit me. It ia about 3-1/2" long with three holes in it. It has a part number (3925812) on it. Anyone know what this thing is and where it goes and what it does? Can't be all that important!!!

Thanks for the help!!

Your leak may be coming from the cover on the side that accesses the lifters/pushrods. Not too sure though, as ive never ventured into that area of the motor yet. I do know it has one of those covers though.

That is a good Cummins part number and is important for your injection line support and keep vibration of the lines down, it called the isolator , it goes right about the side of the intake and supports three injection lines here is some more parts number your going to need

1 of 3925811 brace
6 of 3903723 washers
3 of 3917712 screws
2 of 3925813 isolators

and you already have one of the brace ,

hope that helps

as far as the leaking , you should give it a good steam clean and check the side plate for leaking , there is grommets seals on the bolts that hold that plate on to the block , another leak could also come from the oil supply line to the injection pump , check the line and the fitting from the block, to change that side plate gasket and grommets does require removing the injection pump to be done properly
