Normal thing to happen to these trucks. Get the rebuild kit from http://www.fixinrams.com/ and do it yourself. It only takes about an hour, and he sends the special tools needed with the kit. Worth every penny.
Note: remember to unhook your oil pressure sending unit before you get started. I missed that and broke the harness plug.
The instructions will say to remove the PS pump and vacuum pump as an assembly. You do not have to do this. I didn't.

Ya there is just a gasket between the ps pump and vacuum pump. I bought the seal for $30 I think it was and when I find some time I'll put it in. There are some instructional booklets.

I would say your stumble is from the afc not being adjusted correctly for your 10 plate. You may want to get an afc spring kit. You can probably get rid of it by sliding the the afc as far forward as you can then turn the star wheel forward also. Then experiment with turning the smoke screw on the back of the afc unit. There is a write up of this procedure somewhere on this site that explains it very well. If I can find it I will post it. Anyway it will take some trial and error to get it right. You have to play with the star wheel and the smoke screw to get a happy medium of the two. You have about the perfect truck there now with that 12 valve in it. I like the ford trucks just not there diesels.
