Oil leak behind balancer

picked up a oil leak, looks like its dropping down behind harmonic balancer, any idea what seal?, and how much work to fix it. 98 12 valve auto

Could be the front seal for the crank shaft. Would be a good time to see if the dowel pin has been has been fixed.

whats the dowel pin? I've owned the truck since new, it has never been worked on.
