I'm having a problem with a pretty bad oil leak after attempting to perform a gov. lever adjustment. The bad thing is, I didn't even have to adjust the stupid thing. Oil is leaking out of the cover on the back of the pump badly (1 quart in about 25 miles). Anyway, no matter what I do I can't seem to seal it up. The dealer has no part # for the gasket or the cover. Is this a Bosch only part? Does anyone happen to have a part # handy for the seal and the cover? Any help is appreciated.

You may have to remove the cover again and check that the screws didn't cross thread (hard to reach back there). I recently had mine off and I can't recall if there is a specific top versus bottom but check that anyway. As I recall the gasket is hour-glass shaped and may seal better one way up versus the other. Make sure nothing got stuck under the gasket and cover. If that doesn't work you may have to resort to gasket sealer RTV or the "Right Stuff" should work short term until you can find the seal. Use a stubby screwdriver or right angle screwdriver to tighten up snug but doesn't need much torque. Good luck and let us know what you find.
