From what I read the Cheby stealers want $16/qt for it, which was supposed to be $3/qt less than the Dodge stealers. But apparently not all the dealerships are charging $19/qt so....

 

A bit off topic but I ran into a concern with the fluid in the NV5600.

I ordered up the replacement fluid from Dodge and I got told its the same as the NV3500? Was told that the 3500 and 5600 took the same fluid.

can anyone confirm this? The dealer claimed the part numbers cross referenced one another. Even went onto say that some dealers will charge a higher price for the 5600 containers.

Just confirmed with another dealer that the fluid is the same but said no price difference.

 

I had the same prob with my NV4500. I t was exactley as you described..i went from stock fluid to AMSOIL AND IT FELT CLUNKY FOR A WHILE....It finally just loosened up on its own and i have had any probs out of it......Maybe I was lucky or maybe it was just synchros geting used to new oil. I dont think you anything to worry about personnally but I did not want to buy the syntorque. I trust amsoil so i went with their product. I have no experience with redline.

 

Well I wanted Amsoil, just not the wait to get it..

It does seem to be getting better, but I still have to drop the level a tad more to get it to the stock level.

We'll see I guess..
