nv-4500 from a V-10 fit a CTD?

I have a totalled '96 stick shift V-10 that has a great drivetrain. I was looking for a CTD engine to convert my '85 Dodge crew cab W-350 from a gas 360 4 speed that is in it now. We all know finding a stick shift CTD truck is harder. If I was to find a CTD out of a auto truck would my NV-4500 bolt up. I know they offered that tranny with the CTD in 94-02 as well as the V-10.

The radiator was crushed in car/truck accident but I was hoping to use the trannny. It would be cool to have motor mounts to use too, though they will probally need a little modding to fit a '85. If the bell housing bolts are the same does anyone know if the input shaft is the same?

should be the same but shift points are a little higher on the gasser. easily changed by swapping a pressure spring inside the tranny.

Never seen any of those in an NV-4500 5 SPEED !!!!!!!!!

He was asking about a manual tranny NOT AN AUTO.

And actually it is the governor weight assy that needs to be changed when using a v-10 gasser auto behind a cummins.

Otherwise it will not shift correctly.

So it will bolt up? Can I use my V-10 flywheel or are they balanced differently? Thanks.

Yes the tranny will bolt up. No on the flywheel.
