When I said R&R I meant "remove and replace" as in take the pump into the shop, I still call all the parts "doodad" and "thingie" so I am certain I can't rebuild it. Just wondering how much cheaper it would be to bring them the pump rather than have them take it off the truck. Both those places seem to have really good prices on rebuilt pumps especially the pensacola outfit, $800? can that be real has anyone gotten one from them? By the way, what could have caused such a catastrophic failure of my pump? It was used at the mines before I got it.

Stay away from Pensacola. I have heard of members getting wrong pumps back and of poorer quality. That was on CompD forums.

Okay I had a feeling that those prices may be too good to be true. Hopefully others can chime in on their quality or lack there of , those prices are almost irresistable.

You will save a lot, well worth it and not that hard.
When they send the pump back it will probably be set at stock timing if you install it at TDC. Remember to find TDC before removing the old pump and don't rotate the engine till you have the new pump in.
Some places will set the timing where you want it, ask for 16°
