No cruise or CAD engagement

My cruise quite working a couple months ago and haven't really looked into yet. Then the other day my CAD wasn't engaging. I checked the CAD and I have vacuum on either side when shifting from 2 to 4. I just read this: http://dodgeram.info/tsb/1997/08-22-97a.htm and was thinking if the 2 problems may be related to vacuum issues. I didn't test to see how much vacuum I have at the CAD but I could feel on my finger. Suppose if I have a vacuum leak my cruise isn't working and also not enough to pull the CAD fork over??? Thanks.

Well

Id say for your 4x4 issues, just Posi lock your truck and forget about the vacuum issues. For anything else, just check all of your lines for leaks, make sure that all of them are connected, the way this vac system works, if you have even one connection loose, its gonna affect something, it happened to affect my brakes just over a week ago...

As far as the cruise goes, there is a line that connects to the drivers battery somehow that functions for the cruise, you might wanna check that one, sorry to say i dont remember much about it, except i hooked it back up and had cruise again.... I dont know but it is possible that the cruise works on vacuum, i remember doing this not to long ago, but there arent enough brain cells in me to remember what kind of a line it is, sorry man..

I was planning on posi-lok till I started thinking of the cruise and that TSB there and if thats the case then I fix the vacuum or something the CAD works I'd leave well enough alone. I don't know for sure when the cad quite but thought they might be related.

Question- with that TSB, would the cruise power light still come on on the steering wheel? I don't even get any power to the light when I try to activate cruise...I was just wondering if mine is a different problem. I didn't see a problem with the vacuum line under the battery, but maybe I missed it.
