new transmission

ok guys so i got a bran new tranny and tc (47rh) and i am goin to install a shiftkit. just im not sure which way to go i was lokin at a transgo tfod or the transgo tfod-hd2. which one would you guys prefer and why and also maybe if u huys now were i could a fairly cheap tc would help just tight on money now

I havent heard any complaints about the transgo from any of my friends that have a kit in, and in regards to the TC, if you can hold out until you can afford a good one you will save a bunch of money in the long run. A cheap torque converter is only gonna get you a cheap torque converter...if that makes any sense

I would reccomend the TFOD if its a daily driver, I have read the HD2 is for race or competition use. Give TransGo a call at see what they reccomend based on your usage. I have the TFOD and I wouldn't want harder shifts.

Go TFOD, not HD2 (unless you're racing).

ya thats what im thinking ill occasionally pull a horse trailer or skid steer around or wanna smoke a lil car that pisses me off so i just wanted somebody elses opinion thanks
