NEW TOY!!! 94 3500.....help a 3rd genner get-r-movin!!!

Alright guys, i am a 3rd genner.........but i finally got a new toy!!! time to leave the new truck alone as the DD/tow rig/stoplight racer and move into the 12v for pullin and racin.....help me out!!
Im pickin it up this week with 400K on the od. and a $2500 price tag so now time to use the rest of the money on my mods.
Guages will be on the way but im goin to start workin on it as soon as i get it.
Im not goin light on this one, its gonna be built big the first time but no twins just a big single.
Where should i start? Where do i find which pump i have? is it a P7100 cause ive seen some variations on ebay that say for 12v's and im getting confused.
should i order the 3GSK now and the AFC mod and grind my plate?
thanx in advance!!

The pre-94s had the bosch VE pump, 94 to 98.4 had the p7100. A 3k gsk would be great as well as grinding stock plate, changing timing, adding high-flow air filter and exhaust if you have the money. The possibilities are endless when it comes to the injection pump and afc. You will need a clutch if manual and TC/valve body if auto before you know it. I just picked up a 94 with 112k miles that is bone stock and I look forward to juicing it a little. Displaced texan has a good little write-up when it comes to 12v's that you can find pretty readily for more info. Good luck to ya.

best thing for pulling and racing, just like the 3rd gens get the truck and pull the head, send it out to get some P&P done along with o-rings or firerings, stud it when you get it back. pull the pump of and send it off to get some flow out of it. dual disc. or full blown auto with some billet in it. or are you wanting to do it a little at a time?

for what you're wanting don't even mess with the 3k go staraight for the 4k Gsk, get it timed up, atleast to 16.5, if your prepaired to do headwork in the future maybe go higher, grind your plate own to a 0, and do some of the nessecary AFC mods then, go for injectors and turbo
