New to P-Pump
Hey all, new to the p-pump game. I have a 92, but sadly, the Killer Dowel Pin got another one, so I have an entire 97 215 horse motor turbo and all. What are the basic things I need to do to this motor? I already have a KDP kit for this motor, and my hybrid turbo is going to be swapped over. What are the easy ways to gain some power, and what problems should I nip in the butt before I get nipped.

KDP, new style throttle cable and linkage are about the only things to watch out for.

Yes you can, and should unless you live in the Artic, take it off. Should be simple, the prefilter goes right where the heater was. When you get it apart, you will see the deal.
Good time to throw a new screen, 8 bucks or so at it while it is out.

Yes remove it and throw it as far as you can. Then just pull the adapter bolt "Allen head" and reinstall new screen and bowl. If you leave it on sooner or later it will start leaking air and you will pull your hair out trying to find the leak.
