New To Me '95

As the title states, I'm about to purchase a '95 3/4 ton, single cab, 4x4,12v that is in GREAT condition. No "53" is stamped on the block that I can find, the P-Pump was rebuilt....I think only to get more money out of the owner because of a failed LP, the 5-speed was rebuilt because of the 5th gear nut causing a catastrophy, the engine has ZERO oil leaks, the dash is in PERFECT CONDITION, and the body is straight!!!! No oil is visible on the drivetrain and the engine purrs like a kitten with only 175k miles on it. I KNOW it's worth twice what the owner wants for it and I ALMOST feel bad for what I'm about to give him for it.

Aside for checking the KDP, should I purchase it, is there anything else I should look for? Other than a low charged A/C I simply can't find anything wrong with this truck that isn't worth fixing for the asking price. Plan on purchasing tomorrow evening!

After the purchase I'll let you guys drool over what I give for it!!! Any guesses as to what the asking price is??

GRRRRRRR...................... Nothing much else to check for, unless they put the captured retainer on 5th I wouldn't bet it is fixed, but that's relatively easy to change, DO THE KDP IMMEDIATELY unless you have verified it has already been done.

As for the price? $ 4,500

I paid $2500 for mine, I just tabbed the dowel pin- it was 1/2 way out --- and there was grease pencil marks on the cam gear... the balancer came off with just one hand.... so someone was in there for some reason, but never tabbed the dowel.

I knew I friggin didn't want to even post.......... Around here that truck is still a 9G piece, all day long. You can't find a clapped out Auto truck for 4500.......

Get it, or if you don't, I get first dibbs on a phone number, I will hop a flight.

It just screws into the plastic round part that goes into the front cover.

See below.

Well folks, apparently it just wasn't meant to be. I had the $2500 cash in hand at the man's house ............and he backed out on the sale. Said it ran too good to get rid of it.

Soooooooooooo......the hunt continues!
