New guy questions - injectors and 47rh/re issues
I made a deal on a trans, did Edit research, and here I am. Traded my bike for a built trans (apparently 47rh based off the 3 pin connector) and it has the 8 pin connector where the tv cable mounts above the trans cooling line. Any ideas? I've been searching and I'm curious if I switch PCM's with a 96+ and wiring harness, I might be ok.
Also, got injectors from the guy. He said they were 75hp injectors, but I can't find anything with the numbers on the injector.. on top large stamped number is 7197. It then reads on the body of the injector KDAL 59P6 492 20. Under that it reads 260 bar and 908 in a circle. On the tip, it's hard to read but looks like 7201.
1995 2500 12v auto. Fuel plate ground to a #100. AFC slid forward. I have gauges .. just some background information if needed.

I assume you are asking about replacing your 47rh with a 47re? You didn't really give enough info on what you are doing. You likley haven't noticed yet that the trannys are completely different lengths so that means different drive shafts too. The PCM and wiring between the two trucks are completely different also, it's not going to just plug into things like your rear harness among other things.
I wouldn't even consider swapping I would rebuild what you have and get rid of the re.

I agree with Deere, this is way, way more work than you want to get into.
If you have to do it, I would do a standalone controller rather than try and redo factory wiring/PCM.
It is really a very bad idea..............
