New Guy Here
I go by PaPitt .... old fart 60 ... But Is there one topic section that has most of the questions about the 4BT's ..I putting a a 4bt into an 1972 Bronco .. But my injection pump is leaking out the back plate and I got sent over here. To see post for removing and reinstalling and repairing the rotary pump .
...I'LL ask a 2nd questions to you guys also .. the 4BT only needs about 4 to 6psi to run .. I wanted to bypass the stock lift pump w/ the lever you have to stroke for ever to get them primed ..So I put on an electric pump that is supposed to put out about 4 to 7 psi .. The guys on the last sight ripped me for that ...I thought the elec.pump would push the fuel easier to the filter and I thought it'd prime easier. Any comments..

Im not sure but I think the 4 bt is basically the same as the 6bt. So r &r if the injection pump should be virtually identical. Search injection pump and Im sure youll find write up on the whole thing.
As for the fp, and lift pump.....I dont see a reason to not use the oem lift pump. They are very relable (much more then an electric pump) and if your losing prime, its for another reason, like an air leak. It may run on 6-7 psi but I think its considered to be in good operating condition at 12-15 psi....something like that. I d just do a search on that too.

Pa, your best section is to go to the first gen section.
And yea, there should be no reason an electric pump isn't Kosher.
Pretty sure the original Diaphragm pump only puts out 6-7 PSI stock.
Good luck, and if you need more help, PM me and I will try and do so.
