Neutral Feeling In Drive
Lately i've having trouble in the morning when my truck makes its first shift of the day into drive. When it goes into drive its like its in neutral, it'll do that for about 5 seconds and then it'll go into drive and be fine for the rest of the day. Any ideas? Converter drain back?

So put it in neutral not park? Is there a difference other than the pawl not catching on the drum? And it shifts right into 1st and 2nd no problem at all but the shift to 3rd feels like neutral for 5 seconds or so.

I usually start mine, then put it in neutral for 10 seconds before driving. I don't think these transmissions pump fluid to the torque converter in park; they do in neutral. The shift to 3rd feeling sounds like a different issue though. I better let someone more knowledgeable chime in.
