Neep help with boost pressure?

I need to know if it is safe to set the allen head all the way in on the tst boost valve, And with the setup I have(stock turbo) is it possible to over boost it? I have a K&N filter elemnt and stock exhaust with no cat or muffler. And I dont have gauges yet they are on the way, dont wanna damage anything before I get them. Any help would be very helpful. thanks

As I remember with the HX35,the max boost is 35PSI.Which will cause no problems with your setup. My wastegate is blocked and no problems....Anyone else to confirm this?

Thanks, I had mine all the way in and the rubber tube coming from the intercooler came loose from the clamp under full boost and it scared the daylights out of me, sounds like a pistol being fired inside the cab. I didnt know if it could be from too much boost so I came to the place where I know to get some good advice, thank you

Once you hit 35# you don't gain anything by going higher. The turbo map has a max efficiency at 35#. Past that and you start blowing hotter air and takes your EGT's up in a hurry. Be carefull until you get a gauge on it! With a blocked wastegate I have seen 40#'s or better but it is NOT a good thing, it just puts a lot more heat back into the engine.

Sounds like you have stock tubes on the boost. They will blow off, and once started, will do it more often. Get a new set of aftermarket tubes with the spring loaded clamps. Helps a lot.
