Got my first 12v 97 auto 180 pump, wasn't long before the plate was gone, and afc bottomed out, probly gonna set the gov up around 3500 here soon.

This is also the first auto I've had behind one of these, purty nice for a lazy hillbilly so far but what do I need to do to keep from fryin it.

 

Good place to start is torque convertor and valve body. The valve body will boost pressures and help prevent slippage. There are a good many options depending on where you are headed with your quest for MORE.

 

I went with the Dunrite vb and love it. I don't have anyting major but I haven't had any slippage yet. I've still got to get my converter.
