Need info on the part attached to rear diff.
A man I talked to at a gas station told me about a part that is attached on the upper half of the rear differential that somehow effects the cruise control on my 95' 2500 8800 gvr ram with a 5.9. Since I'm not mechanically familiar with what I call newer vehicles and a chilton manual has no information, I'm looking for some help on a cruise control issuse. Maybe this part on the rear dif, is the cause of it.
A while back I had problems with a substantial transfer case vibration, both internal and external, being a vibration in shifter handle, speeedometer going crazy, and cruise control going crazy, then not work at all.
Right around the time I received replies, all 4 issues stopped like they never happened. I didn't even get a chance to foolow advice because the problems seemed to fix themselves This was around a year ago.
Now cruise control turns itself off and the overdrive stops working. This happens at freeway speeds when I hit a bump or freeway overpass tranisition. Its obvious the bump motion causes the two effects I just listed above. After this happens truck seems to down shifts or over drive stops working and the rpm's go up to maintain the same speed. Then after a mile or so truck goes back into over drive and i'm able to set the cruise control and the truck acts normal, until the next bump.
Does this mystery part on the rear diff effect this?

Your speedo sensor is located in your T-case in your 2nd gen '95.
I am guessing your T-case vibration problem, caused, or is associated with the speedo, and cruise acting up.
There is a ABS sensor on your rear Axle that affect your RWAL lock system.
