ya when i start it and it revs up, i can push the throttle and it will go higher.
also, i had the throttle cable recall fixed just a couple months ago.
i haven't tried pulling the linkage off yet, but when i get some time i will do that.
my 3gsk is a kit i got from city diesel, so it is springs and everything.

Pull the governor spring and put the stockers back in place if you have them. If not, loosen them up a few clicks and try it then. It sounds just like the problem I was having with my 98 a few weeks ago, the shop I had do the timing left a piece of a seal in the pump that wedge itself into the outer spring, it idled at 1300rpm and would hang up slightly at higher RPMs.

i went to put my stock springs back in, and i found out that i no longer know where the dang things are. so i just backed off the springs a few clicks and i don't think it really did anything.
so i called a local diesel shop and the guy said he thinks my pump needs to be rebuilt. he said something about the barrel and plungers, and something about o rings sticking. does that sound right?
another thing, he told me it would be about 1200 for the pump, plus 350 for install, i can't exactly afford that now so i think im gonna pull the pump my self. i was wonderring if anyone had some ideas on good places to get a pump?
