Manual to auto swap
Step-son found a 94 manual truck for $3500 with a fried tranny. He wants to put a auto in it. Anyone have any expirence in swapping to a auto from a standard? How much trouble it is, what's involved etc.

youll need differnt driveshafts, tps sensor (not sure if the plug is in the harness allready) computer, wiering, flexplate, differnt transfercase or swap out tcase input to auto one,steering colum or floor shifter with long handle for, autokickdown cable, tranny cooler and lines, trans fluid heater if cold climate pretty much find a donor truck and get all the parts from that.. or someone who wants to do a auto to manual swap , hmmmm i think i know some one .... i want to do a auto to manual swap soo what ya want for the trans and all the manual stuff? i'll make ya a goo deal on all my auto stuff, tranny has to be rebuilt thou it just puked last wendsday my truck is a 95 extended cab 4x4... i

its lots of trouble...ur beter off buying a truck with the auto in it...there's more than plenty of them around...I'd like a 5 speed...can't find them around here

yea manual to auto is alot more involved than auto to manual. I still have all that stuff on my truck like trans cooler, tps sensor and cable and the column shifter etc... but I want to leave it because my next trans is gonna be a built DTT auto, and i don't want to have to buy that stuff again. All i'd have to do to go back to auto is get some driveshafts and be in business, oh and one cooler line that I cut because I got lazy, lol.
