low idle and hose hanging down from front axle
Hey guys, I'm new to 12 valvers. I've got a 95 1 ton dually4x4 w/ auto tranny. Two issues that I'm working on right now.
*Low idle. My truck idles at about 500 rpms and dies when i put it in gear if I don't ride the throttle pedal just a little. Also if I don't pump the fuel a little on start I have to crank for a bit. any ideas?
*got a vaccum hose hanging down from the front axle. Looks like it might go to automatic locking hubs. Where does the other end of it hook up to?
Thanks a bunch,
Jim

Adjust the idle speed up,look at the rear of the injection pump to find it.If the hose is for the axle interlock it goes up to a metal ine on the right side frame.otherwise it is just the diff vent hose.

thanks for the reply man.
I'll check out the idle screw and for the front end I'm going to toss out the CAD system and put in the posi-lok. I did a search on that and it seems to be the best long-term solution for the uses that this truck is going to see..
Anybody use a 4 in turbo back exhaust kit from summit for these trucks? I have a hole in the first pipe behind the turbo.

found this information on the idle scew adjustment. Fixed the low idle and the starting issue... pops off as fast as you can get your finger off the key.
