low EGTs
Gents-
I know this is going to sound strange, but what would cause low EGTs? I can't get it above 1000 for love nor money, even when towing my 7k# trailer. Also, with the plate and AFC all the way forward, it does not seem to smoke much. Just a little at WOT. Fuel pressure is within specs. Performance seems ok, but not the kind of neck-snapping power some others with similar trucks are getting.

Re:low EGTs
I have the same problem. I can only get 1050* on my pyro. My fuel plate is slid back right now (due to earlier problems) and it is too dang cold to do anything about it now. I was wondering about the possibility of it being the overflow valve. Seems like others have said that they replaced it and it made quite a differance. Anybody have ideas???????
Tom

Re:low EGTs
Is the power a little low? If it is then I would suspect a problem on the AFC side of things. Check boost line from AFC to manifold, boost line from turbo to wastegate and wastegate itself. Above is for a manual truck. Automatic (I know is different) trans truck, check boost line from AFC to wastegate and wastegate.
John
