Lately I've been having a problem with the truck in my sig. The boost will not go above 10 psi, and usually stays right at 5 psi. It used to run up to 16/17 psi no problem. Also the EGT (post turbo) is running at 800-850 at 70 mph and 5 psi boost. Truck also is throwing a bunch of smoke under hard acceleration.

I am going to replace the fuel hoses with the Foster kit; previous shop replaced stockers with gasoline rated hoses that are beginning to leak. Any other thoughts??? The truck isn't making any odd noises, and seems to run ok. Maybe a touch down on power but not enough to really notice or complain.

Oh, it also seems to "lose its prime" when sitting overnight. Will start up run for maybe 10-15 seconds and then stall out. Second attempt will start right up and run as described above. fuel filter has maybe 100 miles on it. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Eliminate future problems and be done with it.
Buy enough 5/16" and 3/8" diesel rated hose to run all the way from the engine to tank.

Sounds like you have boost leak or a stuck open wastegate.
