Listen to your lugnuts
I got this truck about 10 days ago, drove it 500 miles home. I decided to pull the tires off it last night to do some stuff and every lugnut and I mean every one of them only had about 30 lbs torque on em. I dont know the details behind it, all I know is thats the way I bought it. When I put lugnuts on with a fourway I always try to get a lil chirp out of them to know they are tight. There is a torque spec I dont know it off hand. Its always a good idea to go over every aspect of a fresh vehicle. Another thing i found is there is a shim on the right front wheel about 3/8" thick. Anyone know what this is for. Ther isnt one on the other side. It's between the wheel and the rotor, fits over the studs. Thanks.

The shim was an afterthought to keep the truck from pulling to one side, there were three different thicknesses used. Many people who have removed the shim have noticed no difference. Sometimes the shim sticks to the back of the wheel and accidentally gets moved to different location in a tire rotation, lot of good that does.
I torque my lugs to 150 ft/lbs using a impact wrench with a torque stick
http://www.torquestick.com/ has them as well as many others, don't pay over $20
If you have air tools these are the only way to go, I've checked with a hand torque wrench and the sticks are always right on.
