lift questions....please help

Ok so I start the front changeover from Skyjackers 4.5 to a Carli starter. I bought control arms from 4wheelfab that were "made" for a 3" lift. They measure 17.5 and 19.5 inches. Springs went on without a hitch. I went to take the SJ bracket off for the upper control arm. no problem. tryed to put the upper arm on and there is no way it could line up. at least 3/4 of an inch short. even with the big fn prybar to rotate the front back it was way off. The SJ arms are 17 and 19.25 so the bottom isnt going to come back enough to line up. Way past frustrated so its time to have a brandyand coke and look for some advice from you all.

well if you know that the new arms are the right lenght for what your doing and moving the axle would solve it. a easy way to move it is a ratchet strap or a come along from the frame to the axle to get it back alwyas helps me line thigs up.

Good luck man

thanks for the advice Kenny. should have thought of the ratchet strap befor. just seems to put a bind on things. I know the numbers add up, but ***. so far I put the SJ bracket/CAs back on and everything lined up just fine
