After looking at the picture posted on the TDR I figured it would not work on my 1996.

Do you have the TDR pic? I used to be a TDR member but got tired of reading about BS that didn't have to do with Cummins power or dodge trucks........Maybe i cshould've ate crow and paid the stupid renewall fee

keep in mind that one of the check valves is press fit into the upper fitting (outlet), nothin worse than puttin old parts in a brand new pump

When I went to replace my LP, I read a post that there were two pumps that fit , one did more volume & was intended for the larger Cummins 8.3 if I remember right , so both would fit the 5.9 but one pumps more fuel .

I was unaware that there was a different LP for the 8.3?

I do not think lack of volume is a problem for most. A high HP, twin turbo truck yes at a 500HP and lower I do not know of it to be a problem.
