Leaky power steering!

My 95 has developed a nasty leak. Is it fixable?. How hard of a fix is it? It seems to be coming from the box but its hard to tell could be the pump. Which is more likely?. Any help would be great.. Thanks

It is possible to replace the seals in the box, although you will be told that it can't be done.
However, the price of a rebuilt box os only about $200, and the job takes perhaps an hour.

About 1 1/2 years ago, I went through this with my 95... Got the pitman arm seal kit from NAPA, it was only $30. After I finished putting that in, it leaked like a seive. I had to leave it in the driveway until I could get another box. I wound up with one from a wrecking yard out of a 96. It has just started leaking, too. I think I will be getting a rebuilt one, and hopefully Darrens steering stabilizer. It isn't hard to change, though the hose connections may be rusty.

my steering box was leaking to,pitman shaft seal,i got a box from napa because i also noticed the shaft was wandering around-bad bearing.i also installed the DSS and what a difference!!! i highly recommend the the DSS. the hardest part of the job was removing the pitman arm from the old box.a good puller and some heat was needed.
