Leaking rear axle seal

Hey Guy's I decided to go ahead and do the rear cylinder brake upgrade and when I pulled the driver side I found the seal was leaking. What size is the large axle hub nut? Is there a way to get the darn thing off without buying an expensive socket that I will only use once?? Not cheap just broke LOL!!

Can't remember the size for sure. 2 9/16" maybe? I ended up buying the socket, there's just not very much room in there. It is a thin wall socket as it is.

Yup, 2 9/16", went and looked at mine. You might see if one of your local parts stores has a loaner program. If not, buy it, use it, then take it back. At least around here they don't care if you do that, as long as you don't scar it up too bad.

By one and hang on to it. Then you'll have it when it's time to work on the other side.
