The leak went away?
Well, Old leaky is leaky no more, but I would like some opinions.. Im new to the desiel world.
had a bit of a head gasket leak in the front of the '90 Cummins. After chasing down some prices on a new gasket and bolts (I understand these are one time use bolts in the heads) I decieded on trying the low buck fix that a friend recomended. I retorqued the front, and added some stop leak capsules (something from the Chubby dealer but come highly recomended) and everything seems to be fine. Put a couple hundered miles on it (empty) and no water loss so far.
Have to haul a car up from Seattle this weekend si I suppose this will be a good test.
I need to haul some stuff down to CA in a few weeks, is my fix a time bomb waiting to happen or do you think I am good for a while.

Although a lot of people don't trust stop leak additives I've had excellent luck with the ground up aluminum stuff (AlumAseal).
Have a older JD tractor whose head gasket hasn't leaked after over ten years, several thousand hours and numerous coolant changes. It was leaking badly, I needed the tractor and didn't have time to mess with the gasket, figured the stop-leak was short term but it turned into why fix it if it isn't broken solution.
