Late shifting auto

I don't necessarilly think there is anything wrong with my truck, but when I dump more than 3/4 throttle the truck pulls real hard from 1500 to 2400-ish, then just about falls on its face. Tranny hangs the gears way too long for the power band. Its most noticeable in the 1-2 shift, also hangs out in 3rd for almost 2-3 seconds of not really making any power, then it slams you back as it shifts to overdrive. Doesn't matter if the TCC is locked or not.

Are there any options for changing shift points? I would like to get 3k gov. spring kit and bump timing a degree or 2, but its way to friggen cold to do that right now without a heated garage.
