It was interesting since my truck has been leaking for the past 3 years (the old owner did not even know how to check the coolant...) so my timing cover was leaking anyways. A new crank seal, gasket, belt and the install of a free autometer ultra light tranny temp gauge. My pod should be getting here soon so I will be able to put it in there til I can afford the rest of the gauges. The headgasket is going to be done on Tuesday and the vacuum pump oil seal leak will be addressed either this week or next weekend. Then save for injectors, a plate, gauges of course and some smoke to go along with it

 

Where did you get the timing cover gasket?

 

My diesel shop ordered it, I think they got it from either the dodge dealer or cummins. The reason I think that is they put cummins bolts in too.
