KDP fixed and truck retimed
Well got my truck back yesterday. The shop had a hell of a time getting the cam gear back on correctly..
Anyways I picked it up and noticed my steering was now REALLY easy and the brakes were firmer.. Not sure why..
Also, they re-timed the engine to 16º.. It runs very nicely. I can now hit 109MPH without EGT's getting to hot (closed course, trained driver)
Truck now also runs much cooler.. The radiator was packed full of crap so we steam cleaned it out. Also flushed a bunch of crap out of the inside of the radiator.
We put in a new thermostat as well.
It used to get to 190 in general traffic.. I grossed 14,870 on the way back from picking it up (I pulled another truck back home with me) and it ran about 150º.. I'm pretty amused.
Overall I'm happy other than the fact that the truck still leaks.. Not sure where from though.. somewhere from the cover.

Hey Garrett how was your trip back from Indy? I just did my KDP today. Mine showed no signs of coming out, but I did the bolt keeper anyway. I was wondering how yours turned out while I was working on mine. I must admit it is a load off of my mind fixing that KDP. Now I need to rebuild my trans.

Made good time though and got back and forth from Indy in the amount of fuel it would have taken me to get to CHICAGO with the truck
