update
Hi all,
I am going to pick up the truck tomorrow. I am going to by at minimum a pyro, boost to 60psi and maybe an electric FP gauge to at least 60psi. I will look for the KDP and then upgrade if it needs it. No one has really addressed the problem about having a 97 CA with EGR. I will call TST and see what the deal with that is and if I can get the plate I am going with #11 as to not give my clutch to much power and have it start to slip.
Thanks
-Jesse

My understanding is that a TST kit takes away the CARB certification. It should run just fine with it, just not be emissions compliant.
Also I would suggest a mechanical FP gauge, they tend o b much cheaper and more reliable.
Sounds good though

Been there, done that, (the hard way)
Cracked return hose can sure spew a LOT of #2D up and down the Interstate!!!
Your truck is of "that age" too! More fun to do it under YOUR shadetree than in a parkinglot with no tools or beer .

picked up the truck
Hi All,
I have the truck now and will post some pics later today. The plan is gauges and KDP first and fuel lines. If possible I am going to buy a #11 plate from TST and hopefully it will work on my vehicle a 97 ca. I haven’t had a chance to see if the EGR is still on or not. I understand the legal logistics.
Thanks

Yes, very nice truck.
Be carefully with your EGR valve, the crossover tube can get very hot and set your hood insulation on fire. Make sure the insulation is not sagging and that it doesn't rub on the crossover tube.

Hi all,
I have bought the KDP and #6 plate for my truck with a boost and pyro. I am halfway trough the KDP job; I pulled the radiator that made the job way simpler. Also am going to do some maintenance why I am in there oil + filter, coolant, fuel filter + pre pump filter. Just working on it all weekend to get her cleaned up and going good
