Intro and Info.
Well I am now a Dodge owner and love the Cummins in my 1997 Ram2500 but the cup holders #$^%!
After some reading this week, I have pulled the "Cone of Silence" this morning and after a test run, it is in the trash. I plan to pull the AFC and wanted to know the exact size of the four bolts to replace the brake off and other three? I want to go get them before I start. It was very nice to see that the brake off screw was in place on my 94k truck!!
Also, how far can I bump up the stock fuel plate to gain a little HP but not harm my STOCK trans?

Welcome Bill.
Been too long to remember the size now for sure, but I think they were 8mm coarse thread. Best thing would be to pull one of the easier ones and check. You should be able to drive the truck with one bolt out without any trouble.
94k is nothing....I was completely amazed when I saw mine was still intact at 222k when I bought the truck!
Stock trans...auto or stick? Either one should be able to handle the plate full forward I would think. Stick is a little easier if you break it....it will probably only be the clutch that goes. Automatic would be much more costly to repair.

Thanks for the reply.
I already finished and did move the plate all of the way forward, turned the star wheel a few times to the motor side, swaped the washers in the diapham on the AFC and slide the AFC housing forward a hair. A little bit of smoke(but I like the smoke) and will not even turn the tires, but top end power is great. I also pulled the "Cone of Silence" and it is in the trash.
