Intermittently Dies
I am working on a 95 Ford B-Series Bus with a Cummins 12Valve Diesel my problem is the vechicle dies intermettently the fuel filters where about 30,000 miles old changed them did not have any affect. Can not visually find any fuel leaks of any sort, replaced the mechanical lift pump about 1 year ago used OEM Cummins Part. The only thing i noticed strange was the fuel shutoff solenoid when the vechicle dies returnes shut immediattly i'm under the believe that shouldn't happen unless the key is switched to the off position. Any Sugesstions would be appreciated.

What do you mean by the fuel shutdown solenoid returns shut? If the plunger is down, then the shutoff solenoid is dropping for some reason. If it is up, then that probably isn't your problem because if it starts to fall, there is nothing to trigger the pull up circuit so it will stay down.

Does it always start up quickly? I would look at the fuel lines on this Bus if they are anything like the trucks of these Vintage the lines are are shot by this time......
