Installed GSK lost power from stock kit
I recently installed a 3000 GSK from TST. I have their #6 plate installed. They recomend using the GSK with only a # 4 for my truck. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to tune this setup. Can I tighten the tension on my stock springs to raise fuel govern point. Can I loosen the tension on the 3000 springs to lower fuel govern point. PLEASE HELP the unknowns are driving me nuts. THANKS

I havnt done a 3000 gsk. But the 4000 gsk, you need to make sure you remove the inner spring before putting the 4000 supplied springs in. You cant see the small spring, and need to stick a small magnet pen in to pull it out ussually. Sounds like it may be the same on the 3000 and you may have and extra stock spring still in there?
Shouldnt really effect power at all, just carry it out further.

Something is wrong with the install. Might be a simple as the fuel shutoff linkage not being set properly or binding or a flub on the spring tension. Did you use calipers to measure the stud protrusion?

Check to make sure you got the boost sense line to the AFC reconnected.
If everything looks good, try removing the plate and reassembling then go for a ride.
Because the #6 has a huge nose on the lower sidea adding GSK raises the rpm before you get into the main fueling. You probably need to adjust the governor arm.

The afc boost is hooked up, the inner sping the small one is removed. What is a typical reading for stud protrusion on the governor. Mine are set at 4.05 mm. Im starting to suspect tranny issue for problem. Symptoms are better when manually shifting

I don't like a #4 plate especially with a stock auto.
Your transmission is part of the problem, too. Just because you can rev the engine higher doesn't change the 1-2 & 2-3 shift points on the transmission. I think you notice that by shifting manualy.
Youu also need to avoid overpowering the torque converter. If you see more than a 500 rpm drop when the converter clutch locks up you are overpowering and will end up burning the clutch.
