injectors, d.v.'s, milage
I want to put injectors and delivery valves on. but want to know if they effect fuel economy, or is that only determined by my lead foot? also what is the best D.V. for towing? I want some 40 horse injectors.

the best towing dv's will probably be what u have right now, the 181's. They should be able to support some big injectors, so if I were u I would just get injectors and leave the dv's alone. Some injectors increase milage, but depends how big u wanna go, and what brand. And of course ur right foot always controls it alot.

I agree with box5.You already have the 215 pump with 181 DV.Its us guys with the 160 and 175 pumps that have to mod the DV.Will be borrowing a set of LC is weekend and will be expermenting with them, including moving the plate, adjusting star srew, smoke srew and boost.

I too am looking at injectors for a moderate HP boost. I tow A LOT. and do a far bit of daily commuting via gravel roads and county hiways. I was thinking some from Pensacola, they are new, no core charge, and are very reasonable in price. I'll keep watching this thread for more input.

Hearing that they are 4 hole injectors makes me wonder if they will do good towing. I agree they are cheap and seem to be a fair injector for the price but I haven't seen anyone that has them and tows also.

A set of 215 injectors will give you more power and work for towing. Your mileage isn't likely to improve with any injectors however if you don't change anything else. An alternative that will cost you way less money is to increase your timing to 15.5 to 16 degrees btdc. Stock it is somewhere around 13.5. A more expensive way to increase mileage is a PDR cam. Mine paid for itself in 58k miles.

You will still have 181 DV's in the 180 pump. How much is the core charge? My DDP's were $25 a stick for core, I just hung on to the old ones incase I need a back up set sometime.
