Does it blow any white smoke? It sounds like a fuel problem to me...maybe your lift pump has **** itself.

I was thinking clogged air filter, but a boot would make sense. That wouldn't cause the stalling she had earlier though...

rubber boot conecting all hard pipes to turbo to intercooler to intake check all of them (4) and clamps any air leak will cause lack of boost and you go know were fast.
on second thought when my boot blew it puked smoke and i had to pull over..lucky it was right on top and i saw it..
if your boot is leaking it should smoke..and not drive but 20-35 mph
depending on how bad leak is..?

Or leaky intercooler either way the 94-96 at least auto's are gutless wounders.

My dad hit a deer in his 95 auto on his two hour drive home from work one day insurance wrote the truck off but it damaged the intercooler he said it pushed black like no tomorrow climbing the mountain since he was in the other valley over from us and went through half a tank but only covered about 60 kilometers.

Do you have a boost gauge?

Sweet, I guessed right about the stalling!

Have you found the boots? To figure out if they're leaking, try splashing soapy water on them...you should see/hear air leaking...HTH

If it's any consellation, my 96 is a sluggish hunk of steel...for now...

I had a hard enough time finding a decent 12v period that wasn't over $10k...prices for these things in our neck of the woods is ridiculous to say the least
