im i first gen guy but i need 12v head help

my head gasket took a Saturday and she started pushing coolant out of the overflow bottle quite rapidly. so I pulled the head and its cracked between the injector bore and the intake valve as well as having a bad gasket. so I got a 7mm head from a buddy and its cracked between the valves down into the seats. so I called Cummins today and they want 1300 for a reman head I got a few other prices from places we deal with at work and they were all in the same ball park on remans. from what I was told new heads are not available from Cummins for 9mm injector bore at least. im going to get my buddy's serial # tonight off his 94 and see what one for that will cost. but if I have to shell out that much for a reman im going to spend the couple extra hundred and buy a new Hamilton. soo does anybody know where I can get a new head? I looked at the pro maxx brand xdp sells and from what I have read online they are made in china I ordered head studs and im gonna get my rockers machined. im in the process of getting a set of 5x20's from ducky fuel injection, I have Hamilton valve springs, hd push rods, locks and retainers, im just stumped on a head. my dad has 2 spares that don't look to be cracked but all the exhaust manifold bolts are broken off in both of them. and then there is the unknown factor about them. I think they will be more trouble then they are worth. if you guys know of anything let me know please. I want to build this right. thanks!

From what I've read the Cummins heads casted in China are pretty stout. Not sure if that's what you're looking at.

Maybe I'm more stingy but I would mess around with your dad's spares before buying new. Or look around the classifieds here and other diesel sites, there seems to be a pretty good flow of them.
