Idle sticking

Well maybe not the idle sticking really

This morning when i went out to start my truck 52 degrees F outside, it started up nice and well. BUT when i began to drive it, seems to me that the idle would stick at about 1200-900 rpms and sort of just linger on there. i was surprised really, I do know that my idle was dropping very slowly on the tach from 1000 to its idling point at about 750 rpms yesterday and a couple of days ago when i readjusted the idle on the truck. The reason i adjusted it, was cause i started it and it was idling at about 450 rpms, so i decided to bump it up and solve my issue,

My mistake there was that i adjusted the idle while the truck was not up to operating temperature, and when it finally got there, BAM idle at 1000 rpms and no lower, so i pulled over and readjusted the idle once again and got it to about 750 or so with AC on and on full blast, it raises about 50 rpms when the AC is off or so, so im used to that.

I also put a 4K kit in not too long ago, I know the springs are a little tight, im gonna back them off a click to see how that works..

Besides the possibility of the springs being too tight, does anyone else know why this is happeneing? or another probable cause for the tach not dropping so quickly to where it should go in these lower temperatures? the truck did this when it was already up to operating temperature

Guys i need suggestions and help, i wanna fix this issue once more and i wanna fix it right, please help me...

Respectfully

Rick

Frayed throttle cable or binding in the linkage can also cause this.
