i want less power

my mileage sucks. I get like 13.5 mpg's. I think im gonna turn my fuel plate back to stock. If my mileage goes up to 20, then i know everythings good. if it still sucks, then somethings broke. anyhow, i dont know where the thing is located and i already paid someone to turn it down once. Im gonna do it myself this time. so if anyone knows i good website or somewhere that has lots a pictures, i would be ever so thankful to them and all of you who reply.

http://www.tstproducts.com/power_install.html

This is the instruction page for installing a plate. Just look at the info there and slide your plate toward the firewall. That will turn it down. Forward will turn it up.

With no more power than what you list, I would check my timing to be sure I was somewhere between 15 and 17 degrees.

If you add an aftermarket fuel plate and/or injectors, and do not reset the timing, you are just wasting your money as you are not taking advantage of the fuel being burned.

Re:i want less power

Looks like you may have a TST #10 by your signature. This will give less fuel than the #8 I have. My overall mileage with the #8 has not suffered. I don't believe your plate is the problem if you're not playing with the throttle.

Did the mileage drop after installing the plate? Is the truck sluggish? What readings are you getting from the boost and pyro gauges? Has there been an increase or decrease in gauge readings? This type info would help here and also be of benefit to a shop mechanic.
