i will look and adjust the linkage if needed. i made some fittings at work today to hook up a gauge.i replaced the filter in the pre filter yesterday and also deleted the pre heater while i was at it.the tork tek ofv definately helped with it idleing more smoothly but didnt fix it. i have already played with the shutoff solenoid and i set it to the correct height with is 2.64 inches so thats not it and its also brand new.im not trying to just make it smoke for the hell of it,but i do need smoke to tune it to get a good haze and the most power.i do feel the tc shutter a lil in to 1-2 shift but thats it the tranny seems to pull fine especially in lockup.

 

yup, smoke just makes people mad. I work with some enviro crazys in our local goverment. when they see coal rollers they try to find a way to include trucks into our local DEQ testing and also are trying to pass a law requireing DPF be installed on all diesels. They just got all the school buses retro fitted with a DPF type of system and the dpf cat glowes red at night under the bus thats running a old dirty 3208 that was never deisgned to be used with a cat exahust system.... not to safe of a idea with a bus full of childern!
