Have tou turned the "smoke" screw to get more smoke?
Bigger injectors might get some puffs of smoke to help you tune...

Pull the linkage off the side of the pump, and see what the 10-digit part number is on the Bosch tag. Better yet, just post all the numbers on that tag.

It'll tell you what application it was from, as well as some details on the pump itself. Your pump may have been swapped from a different engine at some point.

Thats the correct pump for your truck. I'd make sure you are getting full travel on your throttle linkage. Pop the rod off, and make sure the movement you get on the throttle lever at the back is the same as what your pedal is providing. Adjust accordingly. Let us know what your fuel pressure is when you get the gauge hooked up.

Could be the prefilter being partially clogged, let enough thru that the truck runs OK, but not let enough to roll smoke.

Also I question the torktek, seems to be a few that don't seem to be what they say, mostly in ones that cannot monitor their fuel pressure, I believe they are adjustable?

Another thing to check...Make sure the shutoff switch is fully engaged..If its part engaged, the truck will run but will not get full fuel...I had this problem when I got my truck...

smoke sucks and just makes people mad, my truck barely smokes and runs amazing for what i have. i would just worry about smoking the car next to you and not covering the tree hugger behind you with smoke. thats my thought.

Perhaps your tranny is slipping not allowing the engine to come under enough load to smoke.
